Small Greenhouse

There has been some recycling waiting on the porch to be brought to the transfer station for a little while.  Things that were too big for the regular pick up. Today it went away.  What that meant for me is that I could set up a storage container greenhouse.  I've been wanting to do this for a while but the time and space didn't come together until today.  Other than being inside, I tried to follow the directions from this video.  It was pretty simple.  Take an upside down transparent storage container and put a bag of soil into the cover, cut the bag and poke holes in the bottom, remove excess dirt, plant seeds, water, and put the bottom on as a lid/greenhouse.  I planted spinach seeds.

Preparing the soil.

Planted, watered, and in a sunny spot.

Other things that helped with happiness today are:
  • Winston, the orange tabby, saved me from a bug (possibly an assassin bug) that was in the shower today.
  • I finally came up with a pattern that I think will work on the tablet weaving I am doing.  I messed it up and will have to try again, but I think it will do what I want it to.
  • Keziah and I had an impromptu meeting today concerning an event coming up in June.  We helped with some of the planning and ways that it can be done remote.  I'm looking forward to it.
  • Gideon, with help from others, made pancakes for dinner tonight.  I love when we have breakfast for dinner.

Sunset.
